Are you passionate about laboratory processes and seed technology? KWS Pop Vriend Seeds is seeking a dedicated Sample Coordinator to play a key role in managing and coordinating seed sample logistics, lab tests, and data processing. In this position, you’ll ensure seamless sample management from collection and storage to dispatching samples to laboratories worldwide. You will collaborate with labs to plan sample testing, monitor results, and contribute to the implementation of advanced Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Your expertise will help streamline processes and support cutting-edge agricultural solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Collect and organize samples in the warehouse.

• Ensure samples are stored in the correct location and order.

• Dispatch seed samples to domestic and international laboratories.

• Coordinate long-term planning with external laboratories, including anticipating sample volumes and assessing capacity.

• Process and log lab results from external laboratories or producers in the ABS system and monitor assay result progress, addressing delays if necessary.

• Support the development and implementation of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

• Act as a key user for various computer programs and systems.

• Distribute and allocate seeds for the Seed Health and Genetic Purity Laboratory.

• Collaborate with Naktuinbouw and manage laboratory administration tasks.

• Organize the warehouse and streamline sample processing workflows.

• Align LIMS system with ERP systems to enhance data exchange efficiency.

To seed your future, you've got the following skills:

• A bachelor degree in Life Sciences or Agriculture, or MLO (Intermediate Vocational Education) in Laboratory Technology or Seed Technology.

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience with LoA administration.

• Preferably experience as a Biological Safety Officer or at least some experience with quarantine pathogens.

• Ability to manage and coordinate tasks efficiently.

• Ensuring accuracy in sample handling, storage, and data entry.

• Experience in laboratory workflows and sample logistics.

• Familiarity with ABS and LIMS systems.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Proficiency in various computer programs and systems.

• Proficient in English and Dutch.
