KWS Lochow GmbH - KWS Business Unit Cereals is looking for an ambitious and hands-on Business Development Manager Hybrid Barley (m/f/d).
 
In this exciting position, you drive and steer the hybrid barley’s business in close liaison with internal stakeholders across functions and business units. Furthermore, you will make sure that all activities are aligned and prioritized in line with the KWS strategy and marketing environment.

Last but not least, you will also manage and support all external collaborations and stakeholders.
 
This role is a full-time and permanent position and is based at our site in Bergen / Germany.
 
Your Tasks - Challenge meets Responsibility: 
 

  • Implementation of the hybrid barley strategy incl. reviews and adaptations according to need
  • Manage the overall business plan with full Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Constantly review and improve/optimize value capture throughout the value chain
  • Develop and implement effective and sustainable ‘Go to Market’ models
  • Drive and support the development of an effective hybrid barley market environment and frame conditions
  • Proactively foster, drive and support cross-crop/ business unit projects

 
Your Profile - Competence meets Personality: 

 

  • Completed studies in agricultural economics or comparable with a commercial background in agriculture (sales, marketing, production)
  • Several years of professional experience in a relevant field with proven results
  • Sound understanding of digitalization
  • Strong general management and governance skills
  • Excellent analytical mindset paired with the ability to develop long-term strategies.
  • Ability to lead by influence in a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication skills & the ability to build and maintain trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good intercultural understanding
  • Excellent command of English
