We are seeking for a Senior Research Associate (m/f/d) in molecular plant breeding on a full time and permanent basis contract. You will work in the breeding technology team for maize and oilseed crops at KWS SAAT SE & Co KGaA in Einbeck, Germany.

 

Your tasks:

  • Performance of sequence-alignments and -assemblies for detection of sequence variants for molecular marker development
  • Performance of greenhouse programs for sampling of plant material for molecular genetics experiments
  • Documentation and database import of results
  • Work in an international team of plant breeders and geneticists 


Your profile:

  • Vocational Training as BTA/ATA/PT or graduate degree (B.Sc., M.Sc.) in biology, agricultural sciences, biotechnology or bioinformatics or related area
  • Knowledge and practical experience in plant molecular biology and bioinformatics
  • Practical experience in plant growth and -sampling in the greenhouse
  • Profound knowledge in MS-Office, bioinformatic tools and basic data analysis
  • Knowledge in plant breeding and genotyping technologies is a plus
  • High motivation for own development
  • Excellent team player and communication skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English and German
