KWS UK Ltd. is looking to recruit a technician to help with our Field and Greenhouse work. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Thriplow near Cambridge. No formal training is required, but you must have a desire to work with plants, be open minded, and not be afraid of getting your hands dirty.

In this position you will join our highly motivated and diverse research and pre-breeding team, and you will work with a wide range of tasks in an ever-changing environment.


What to expect:

  • You work in the glasshouses including sowing, harvesting, transplanting, note taking and crossing.
  • You carry out field activities such as drilling, pest control, rogueing, scoring, harvesting.
  • You work indoors on seed processing, sampling, and testing.


What you offer:

  • You hold an A-Levels qualification and are eager to work with plants both inside and outside.
  • You like working in a dynamic environment and be part of developing new methods.
  • You can work within teams and alone.
  • You are trustworthy and reliable.
  • You have a UK driving license.
  • You are willing to work longer hours during harvest, drilling and other peak periods.
