KWS Vegetables is actively seeking an exceptional Global Product Management Team Lead to steer our dynamic and pivotal Vegetable Crops division. This role is instrumental in guiding our strategic direction, managing our global crop portfolio, and ensuring our continued profitable growth within the BU Vegetables sector. We are looking for a visionary leader who is adaptable, thrives on change, and is committed to leaving a lasting impact through effective collaboration with a diverse and talented team. This position is based in Andijk.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Global Product Management Team for all KWS Vegetables Crops 
  • Lead the strategic planning and management of the global Crop portfolio and assortment to ensure profitable growth within the BU Vegetables.
  • Foster crucial alignment and interface with the team towards Breeding, Research, Seed-Production, and Sales to optimize market success.
  • Drive global crop strategy development with the team and participate in all strategic decisions related to crop business plans, Product-Market-Combinations, and Product profiles, etc.
  • Develop and govern the global product-market combinations portfolio, serving as a guiding principle for the overall vegetables strategy.
  • Analyze global market trends to ensure optimal product positioning and processes.
  • Implement effective structures within the product management team, including systems, processes, interfaces to other functions, lifecycle management, elevation meeting structures, and trial management.
  • Define KPIs (in alignment with breeding) for pipeline developments and monitor short- and long-term development.
  • Lead the Global Product Management Team for all KWS Vegetables Crops, steering the P&L Process from a Product Management perspective and managing the Global Crop portfolio.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • A relevant degree with preferably five to ten years or more experience in the international seed industry, especially in vegetable seeds.
  • Profound knowledge of the business, its processes, drivers, and interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in Product Management and achieving quantitative and qualitative targets.
  • Leadership skills to build high-performing teams based on trust, collaboration, and diversity.
  • A global organizational perspective and cooperative attitude within matrix interfaces.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with additional languages being an advantage.
