Are you ready to make a profound impact in the field of fast-breeding and trait integration? We are in search of an exceptional Product development accelerator manager to manage the KWS Product Development Accelerator facility, which will support the breeding and TI maize and sunflower programs in close collaboration with the breeding technologies and breeding teams. This vacancy is on a full-time and permanent basis.
You will work in the Breeding Research Services maize and oilseed crops team at our breeding station in Canary Island, Spain.

Your Impact:
As our Product development accelerator manager, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of newest techniques for accelerating our breeding and trait integration programs for maize and sunflower and running all operations in the Product Development Accelerator facility with highest process excellence. Here's what your role entails:
- Implement highly efficient workflows combining several innovative breeding techniques for planting, sampling, speed and molecular breeding in the KWS Product Development Accelerator facility for maize and sunflower
- Follow and continuously improve the standard operating procedures and corresponding work instructions regarding all Product Development Accelerator operations
- Participate in the coordination with the costumers and involved departments in the planning process for the Product Development Accelerator to allow optimal use and highest impact of the facility
- Establish seamless operations in the Product Development Accelerator guaranteeing high success rate and timely delivery to the customers according to the needs of the respective breeding or TI schemes
- Coordinate and monitor Key-Performance-Indicators (KPIs) of all Product Development Accelerator operations.
- Support in the implementation of the standard operating procedures and corresponding work instructions regarding fast-breeding activities and trait integration programs and seed services with research genetic material in close cooperation to the quality management team.
- Work in an international team in close collaboration with colleagues from breeding and breeding technologies.
Your Profile:
- A graduation degree in agriculture, biology, genetics or biotechnology area.
- 3 years of experience in research and development activities in seed industry.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish is a must.
- Ability to seamlessly coordinate multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
- Experience with nursery activities in maize and/or sunflower is highly recommended.
- Experience with fast breeding and trait integration is a valuable asset.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in plant breeding, plant biology, or genetics is recommended.
- A team player with exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Good understanding of agronomic and operational management of field nurseries and greenhouse activities.
- Practical experience in molecular-marker analysis interpretation is recommended.
