At KWS Vegetables, we’re building the future of vegetables with data, insight and direction. As our new Business Development Manager, you’ll help shape our crop strategies, spot investment opportunities and align cross-functional efforts – from market trend to commercial success.
You’ll be the connecting force between teams, bringing structure to ambition. Working closely with product manager, sales, R&D, seed supply and crop controllers, you translate complexity into clarity and ensure everything we do drives value. Your responsibilities:

You support the development and execution of crop strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

You evaluate potential investment opportunities, including segments, traits, and projects, and develop comprehensive business cases.

You monitor and develop information and insights about market trends, drivers, and competitors in order to support strategic business decisions.

You prepare and lead strategic meetings (e.g. crop team meetings) and ensure appropriate follow-up.

You prepare strategic concepts and templates and ensure consistent implementation.

You ensure proper planning and align projects and activities. In doing so, you maintain an overview and ensure all expectations are fulfilled.
To seed your future, you've got the following skills:

You have a university degree in Business Administration or Agricultural Economy or comparable experience.

2-3 year experience in (either or) business development, agribusiness, business evaluation and/or consulting is a plus.

You’ve got good social skills; you know how to get people on board and truly enjoy teamwork.

You are analytical and know how to bring structure to the day-to-day business. That means you are also good at reporting about projects and include your learnings and objectives to make the right choices.

You are strong in IT tools (MS Office, Data Management tools) and are able to develop smart business support tools and formats
-
You have a helicopter view and can lead discussions and ask the right questions to make sure the things we do align with our set targets.

You have strong project management skills, you know how to plan, prioritize, and keep complex projects on track without losing sight of the bigger picture.

You are willing to travel 20% of your time. You will be present in Andijk headquarters for 3 days a week.
