As part of our ONEGLOBE initiative for KWS Berlin GmbH, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Accounts Receivable Accountant with proficiency in English, Turkish, and Romanian (m/f/d).In this role, you will be an integral part of our finance team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This is a full-time position based at our vibrant and dynamic Berlin office.
Your tasks:

Process incoming customer payments in accordance with SLA

Maintain and clear customer accounts

Provide customer balance confirmation and perform reconciliations
-
Process customer returns, rebates, and refunds
-
Generate statement of accounts and process dunning letters
-
Calculate and approve credit limits
-
Respond to audit request and participate in meetings with auditors
-
Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in a timely manner
-
Resolve account discrepancies and contact customers accordingly
-
Calculate provisions, write-offs, and bad debts devaluation in accordance with IFRS 9
-
Engage customers in collection efforts in writing as well as over the phone
-
Create manual invoices and manage cheques
-
Process act of acceptance and monitor relevant general ledger accounts

Manage disputes, direct debit, and cash allocation with Treasury
-
Continuously assess emerging automation technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in accounts receivable processes

Investigate inter-company differences with relevant stakeholders
-
Assist with automation efforts supporting the department’s automation strategy

Implement monitoring mechanisms to track the performance of automated processes
-
Generate regular reports on the impact of automation, including efficiency gains and cost savings
Your Profile:

Preferably an apprenticeship or BA Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Data Science. Correlated areas will be considered

Master’s Degree is considered an asset

Prior experience in accounts receivable or finance is desirable

Solid understanding of accounting practices and procedures
-
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization and automation

Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP ECC and ideally S/4 Hana, automation tools and systems (e.g. MS Power Platform) as well as advanced skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

Organized, detailed oriented, and able to work in a multicultural and diverse environment

Knowledge in programing and scripting (coding) are essential

Excellent communication skills and team mindset

Fluency English is essential. Knowledge of Turkish and Romanian is desirable. Knowledge of Bulgarian and Hungarian is an advantage
