KWS Berlin GmbH is looking for a new Lead of Global Tax (m/f/d).

The Lead of Global Tax (m/f/d) supports the Head of Expert Hub Finance in the implementation of the finance strategy and provides knowledge-based expertise for taxes at KWS while ensuring individual solutions are delivered.

Designing global rules, guidelines & procedures, while continuously improving functional knowledge-based processes is very much part of the job.  Furthermore, you will be also responsible for the assessments of country-tax risks as well as providing a tax compliance framework for local and global taxes.

This is a permanent position and on a full-time basis. Part-time is possible.

The place of work is Berlin. We offer hybrid work.

Your Tasks:  

• Ensure delivery of technical/ special expertise and case by case solutions
• Implement and continuously improve functional expert-processes
• Lead and develop a team of experts in the field of Tax, overseeing consulting obligations being met with best practice
• Develop, harmonize and insure KWS-wide policies and standards are implemented
• Constantly track trends and business needs, instigate and lead initiatives to adopt policies and standards to changing needs
• Developing strategic tax plan
• Manage transfer pricing and international tax issues/projects, etc.

Your Profile:

• Academic degree in Business, Economy or Finance or comparable
• Many years of professional experience in the field of Finance/Controlling and Tax
• Successful completion of Accredited Tax Advisor education (ATA) or comparable
• Ability to understand and interpret legal implications, translating these into KWS strategic tax decisions
• Practical understanding of tax techniques and trends that are currently used by tax specialists
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• High assertiveness and experience in implementing knowledge-based concepts / standards on a global level
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
