As a Senior Compensation & Benefits Expert (m/f/d) you will play a key role in defining and implementing our global Compensation & Benefits concept. 


This is a permanent position and available on a full-time basis. We offer hybrid work. The place of work is at our Berlin-based KWS entity -  KWS Berlin GmbH.

Responsibilities &  Tasks:


  • Collaborating with the Lead of Compensation & Benefits to define the global C&B strategy
  • Ensuring cost-efficient and market-driven C&B procedures and standards across the organization
  • Maintaining a global grading system to support the organizational structure
  • Developing and aligning compensation objectives with the business strategy and global practices
  • Supporting and guiding regional HR representatives in the application of grading systems and C&B procedures
  • Participating in the development, implementation, and control of C&B procedures and systems in line with market practices
  • Ensuring internal equity of C&B and providing support to managers and senior employees worldwide
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Job Catalogue for the organization
  • Leading the global grading project, including methodology definition, change management, HR enablement, and negotiations
  • Supporting annual salary planning to ensure cost-effective and equitable salary changes
  • Conducting internal equity analysis
  • Participating in benchmarking salary surveys to stay competitive in the market
  • Supporting updates to job evaluation and grading processes based on organizational changes
  • Contributing to the definition of C&B procedures and standards
  • Supporting various C&B projects, including Benefits and Bonus projects, as well as other HR initiatives



Skills & Qualifications:



  • Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or equivalent 
  • Many years of in-depth professional experience in Compensation & Benefits in an international or globally-operating company
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles, including performance evaluation, payroll, compensation elements, and benefits
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Very good IT literacy - in particular Excel, PowerPoint
  • User knowledge of HRIS is an asset
  • Basic understanding of controlling respectively sound economic understanding
  • Excellent communication skills paired with a great customer service attitude
  • Team player with a good sense of humor
  • Proactive, can-do attitude
  • Flexibility, openness, curiosity
  • Very good command of English and German
