KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck (Lower-Saxony, Germany) is seeking to recruit, at the earliest opportunity possible, an Oilseed Rape Breeder (m/f/d). In this exciting full-time and permanent role, you will be in charge of the continental breeding program in Europe for the oilseed rape crop. 

Your tasks:

• Develop a continuous pipeline of competitive oilseed rape hybrids and manage the oilseed rape breeding program for the continental market
• Use and optimize the breeding schemes using state-of-the-art breeding technologies for the development and selection of highly competitive varieties 
• Align and secure the interfaces between breeding and seed production, Research and the sales department
• Support research projects from a breeding and scientific point of view 
• further improve efficiency and effectivity of the program through methodological and geographical development

Your profile:

• PhD or M.Sc. with focus on plant breeding or genetics
• Good knowledge in quantitative genetics, statistics, breeding methodology
• Ability to work in an international team of breeders and scientists 
• Ability to work (assessment, selection) under field conditions 
• Willingness and flexibility for business trips (Europe) 
• Experience in the use of breeding relevant software   
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills and excellent team player
• Entrepreneurial Spirit and business Acumen
• Driving License
