KGaA we are looking for an Expert Labor Relations / Labor Law (Senior Legal Counsel) (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible. The Expert Labor Relations / Labor Law (m/f/d) is responsible for the strategic development of Labor Relations/Labor Law in the global legal department of the KWS Group.The position acts as a central interface in the global cooperation with HR, Business and Legal. The promotion of a trusting cooperation and productive partnership between the various stakeholders as well as the alignment and harmonization of KWS policies, guidelines and processes in labor law are essential components of the tasks. High-quality and solution-oriented legal advice for the KWS Group in all legal matters in the area of individual and collective employment law is taken for granted. The position is permanent and full-time. The place of work is either Berlin or Einbeck / Lower Saxony.
 
Your tasks:

  • Advising KWS managers and HR colleagues on general matters relating to labor relations as well as support and coaching in labor law negotiations.
  • Excellent, pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice in all areas of labor law, including with regard to collective labor law measures and co-determination matters
  • Developing and implementing Group-wide standards for employment contracts, contract templates, standard clauses and ensuring the integration of labor law regulations and processes into the global KWS organization
  • Contributing labor law expertise to global M&A activities and major transactions 
  • Management and coordination of labor law disputes globally in close coordination with HR and the affected business units
  • Further expansion of a Group-wide, global, cost-efficient and excellent network of external law firms and consultants in the area of labor law in order to ensure case-specific legal advice or advice on best practices.

 
Your profile:

  • Academic degree in law (2nd state examination or comparable degree), further qualifications in labor law and labor relations are an advantage
  • Several years of professional experience in labor relations/labor law in a multinational corporation or international law firm
  • Very good communication skills, pragmatism and assertiveness towards all hierarchical levels 
  • Conceptual and strategic skills for the proactive further development of the field of labor relations as well as for the labor law support and the implementation of complex projects
  • Questioning existing structures and processes and willingness to continuously deepen specialist knowledge
  • Independent, structured and proactive way of working
  • Fluent German and English (written and oral)
