We are looking for an Expert SAP Authorization (m/f/d) to join us at the earliest possible date. In this role, you will help shape our SAP landscape sustainably, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient authorization management. The position is permanent, full-time, and based in Einbeck (Lower Saxony, Germany).

 

Your responsibilities – where you make an impact:

  • Responsibility for developing, implementing, and continuously optimizing authorization and access concepts in SAP ECC systems, S/4 HANA, and the Fiori Launchpad
  • Analysis of existing authorization structures, their adaptation, and harmonization to meet new requirements
  • Design of individual roles and authorizations in line with corporate policies and legal requirements
  • Execution of authorization and user reviews, identification and mitigation of risks (e.g., Segregation of Duties conflicts, SoD)
  • Supervision and control of technical implementation of authorizations in collaboration with our service providers’ SAP authorization team and global key users
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation and process descriptions for authorization solutions
  • Consulting and support for business units and project teams on all SAP authorization-related questions
  • Participation in internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements
  • Support and coordination of service providers in analyzing and resolving authorization issues in operational business (second-/third-level support)
  • Integration of new technologies and tools into the existing authorization management, particularly in the context of S/4 HANA and Fiori Launchpad
  • Monitoring and reporting of relevant KPIs in the authorization environment

 

Your profile – what you bring:

  • University degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification - alternatively, equivalent professional experience in the field.
  • Several years of practical experience in SAP Authorization Management, particularly for SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, and Fiori Launchpad
  • Strong knowledge in designing and implementing SAP authorization structures and roles
  • Extensive experience in analyzing and resolving authorization issues, especially Segregation of Duties (SoD), user, and role management
  • Familiarity with SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
  • Experience conducting audits and collaborating with internal and external auditors
  • Knowledge in handling SAP Fiori Launchpad, including configuration and management of tile authorizations and launchpad designs
  • Ability to document and communicate complex technical topics in a clear and comprehensible manner
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with a high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Strong team orientation and communication skills, also in an international environment
  • Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken

 

Desirable additional qualifications:

  • Knowledge of related modules such as Identity and Access Management (SailPoint), SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication Service (IAS), or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Experience in process automation within the authorization environment, e.g., using SAP GRC or SailPoint
