Do you want to build a dynamic and motivated team of highly trained engineers and set the future trends in Field Consulting to make agriculture more profitable, sustainable and digital? KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for a Head (m/f/d) in AgroService for the Germany and Austria Sales Team of the Sugarbeet Business Unit as soon as possible. AgroService stands for the transfer of knowledge between agricultural practice, consulting, sales and breeding. This position offers you the unique opportunity to use your know-how, curiosity, experience and leadership skills to take KWS' agronomic professionalism, innovation and consulting activities to the next level. 


The workplace is located in Einbeck (Lower Saxony/Germany), furthermore this exciting leadership position will be permanent and full-time and comes with a company car.
Your area of responsibility:

  • Responsibility for the organization and strategic direction of AgroService Germany and Austria of the Sugar Beet Business Unit, including personnel management.
  • Conducting and evaluating variety trials to determine relevant cultivation techniques and their influence on variety performance
  • Translating strategic planning for the area of responsibility into long-term and short-term goals
  • Development of a clear variety strategy and communication plan, comparison of arguments based on scientifically proven results  
  • Development of argumentation aids as well as technical preparation and implementation of training courses and sales workshops for the field sales force
  • Close cooperation with internal departments/stakeholders (Marketing DE/AT, International Agroservice, Business Development, Product Management, Disposition and Sales Support Teams of SB-DE)
  • Interface with external institutions of agricultural extension research and technology, digital service tools.
  • Technical input for the content of KWS promotional literature in the sugarbeet BU

Your profile - competence meets personality:

  • Ideally completed studies in agricultural sciences/agricultural economics/agribusiness, preferably with a focus on crop production
  • Distinctive professional experience in crop production consulting or/and in product management in agribusiness
  • Leadership experience with proven focus on goals and products combined with drive and verve would be desirable
  • Practical relevance to agriculture
  • Flexibility, creativity, innovative and proactive drive
  • Analytical approach, strategic thinking, accuracy and organizational skills
  • Excellent organization & teamwork and communication skills with high commitment to collaboration
  • Openness, honesty, conviction and respect for others
  • Proficient PC user skills in MS Office products.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
  • Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 25-50%)
