Do you want to help shape things and contribute your knowledge of integrated pest and disease management to a leading company? Then be our new Plant Protection Scientist (m/f/d) of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at our headquarter in Einbeck, Germany. The contract will be full-time and permanent
As a member of the Department of Phytopathology you will have the opportunity to further develop and expand the field of integrated pest and disease management and incorporate the latest methods. The focus is on the development, implementation, and optimization of plant protection. 

 

Your challenges

  • Develop crop protection strategies, including integrated pest and disease management (IPM) concepts for insects, plant diseases and weeds
  • Optimize and implement crop protection strategies for KWS crops
  • Develop and lead projects, manage work packages and ensure timely delivery of milestones
  • Support monitoring of the synthetic and biological crop protection market, as well as legal and regulatory requirements to identify and document potential short- and medium-term gaps in crop protection
  • Lead the crop protection team and collaborate with other KWS departments
  • Maintain national and international plant protection networks

 

Bring your strengths

  • PhD in agricultural or related sciences or equivalent working experience 
  • In-depth expertise in IPM
  • Very good knowledge in at least one of the disciplines: entomology or plant diseases
  • Work and leadership experience
  • The ability to analyze processes, design and implement projects across interfaces in diverse national and international teams
  • Effective, customer-oriented communication and excellent teamwork skills
  • Fluent English skills, basic knowledge of German
  • Driving license mandatory
