KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for a dedicated Technical Assistant (m/f/d) to join our Marker Service department at our headquarters in Einbeck, Lower Saxony, at the earliest possible date. This full-time position is limited until September 2027.

 

The role involves performing simplex marker analyses, including the following tasks:

  • Preparation of samples for analysis
  • Performing PCR reactions for KASP, ddPCR, and gel-based markers
  • Handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment, pipetting robots, and analysis systems
  • Analysis and evaluation of results using appropriate software applications
  • Maintenance of requirement- and application-related data pools in relevant databases
  • In our department, we work according to standardized quality management processes. At the same time, we offer regular opportunities for further development and the acquisition of new skills. Your ideas and contributions are highly welcome.

 

Your profile:

  • Completed vocational training as an ATA/BTA or a comparable qualification, ideally with some exposure to plants and seeds
  • Initial experience in molecular biology is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, as well as experience with databases and strong technical understanding
  • Fluent German and basic knowledge of English
  • High level of motivation and the ability to remain focused and productive under pressure
  • Reliable, independent working style and strong team skills
