Do you want to contribute to research on fungus-resistant plants? You want less routine and more self-realization? As a Technical Assistant (m/fw/d) for the development of fungus-resistant plants at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at our headquarter in Einbeck, you can get 100% involved in projects and track your own share of work as part of the result. You will carry out biotechnological work in a varied environment to understand the interaction between plant and fungus and the development of fungus-resistant plants. This role is limited until the end of May 2023 for one parental leave replacement and a full-time position.

 

What we make possible for you:

  • Independent execution of molecular biological work such as the cloning of DNA constructs, PCR reactions and the isolation of DNA and RNA from plants and fungi
  • DNA sequence analysis
  • Transient gene expression studies
  • Preservation and propagation of fungal isolates
  • Preservation and use of plant cell cultures
  • Installation of tests in the greenhouse
  • Documentation of laboratory processes by LIMS and eLAB

 

What we want to see in you:

  • Completed vocational training as ATA, BTA, LTA, plant technologist or comparable training
  • Safe application of standard molecular biology techniques (DNA cloning, PCR, DNA and RNA isolation)
  • Sterile working with plant cultures or fungi
  • Fluent knowledge of German and basic knowledge of English
  • Quick comprehension and flexibility
  • High ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate
  • Experience in the field of LIMS and microscopy knowledge is also desirable
