Would you like to gain practical experience in the field of sugarbeet disease development with in International AgroService? For KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at the Einbeck location we are looking for a working student(m/f/d) to support the development of digital farming solutions such as, field monitoring, disease prognosis models and automated image recognition by capturing data in the field/in field trials. This position is for a limited period of 8 months from 01.03.2023 on a part-time basis (20 hours/week).

What awaits you:

  • You will independently carry out field trials for modelling growth processes and other agronomic trials (plant sampling, counting, etc.).
  • You will be actively involved in the processing of the collected field trial data and create final reports & presentations.
  • You support the evaluation of the results in cooperation with KWS Biostatistics & Phenotyping departments.
  • You will be a part of the KWS International AgroService Sugarbeet team and will gain an insight into our work.

 

This is what we want from you:

  • You are a registered student (m/f/d) in the field of agricultural sciences or in a comparable course of studies
  • Initial agricultural experience in plant cultivation and knowledge about plant diseases are an advantage
  • You are reliable and have good organizational skills, you are proactive and have an independent way of working
  • You have very good PC user skills in basic program such as the Office 365 package + the ability to familiarize quickly with new programmers and tech instruments
  • You have a fluent command of written and spoken English or German
  • Driving license (B/BE) and willingness to travel to visit field trials
