KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for a dedicated working student (m/f/d) in the field of production technology for seed multiplication of sugarbeet. The main place of work is Einbeck (Lower Saxony, Germany). The part-time position (20 hours per week) is to  be filled initially until the end of October 2025. We offer you the chance to actively participate in interesting projects in commercial seed multiplication of sugarbeet. Your tasks:

  • Creating a standard catalog: Develop an understandable international guideline to about important cultivation topics, such as fertilization for sugarbeet seed multiplication
  • Data preparation and visualization: Work actively on the analysis and visual representation of technical data for multiplication characterization, which is of central importance for our international multiplication stations
  • Process automation through image recognition: Support us in developing innovative solutions for the automation of multiplication processes, in particular using image recognition technologies
  • Trial design and evaluation: Participate in the planning, execution and evaluation of international field trials and actively contribute to the improvement of our multiplication techniques
  • Insights into commercial seed production: Gain valuable insights into the processes and procedures involved in the commercial production of sugarbeet seed and get to know the industry firsthand

 

Your profile:

  • Enrolled student (m/f/d) of agricultural or natural sciences with a passion for computer applications
  • Interest in agricultural topics is an advantage
  • Reliability as well as a proactive, independent and responsible way of working
  • Solid knowledge of Office 365 and the ability to quickly learn new software
  • Very good English skills (spoken and written) are required, knowledge of German is an advantage
