Working Student (m/f/d) – Sugarbeet Business Ventures

Would you like to gain practical experience in the field of weed control in sugarbeet, particularly with non-chemical solutions, within the area of Business Ventures. For KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at the Einbeck location we are looking for a working student(m/f/d) to support the development of non-chemical weed control solutions in Sugarbeet by capturing data in the field/in field trials and processing them for further use. This position is for a limited period of 6 months from 01.04.2025 on a part-time basis (max. 20 hours/week).

You will independently carry out annotation of pictures for image recognition in the context of non-chemical weed control

You will be actively involved in the assessment, processing, and quality assurance of collected field data, creating final reports & presentations.

You support the evaluation of the results in cooperation with International Agroservice & Phenotyping departments.

You will be a part of the KWS Sugarbeet Business Ventures team and will gain insights into our work.

 

This is what we want from you:

You are a registered student (m/f/d) in the field of agricultural sciences or in a comparable course of studies

Initial agricultural experience in plant cultivation and knowledge about weeds are an advantage

You are reliable and have good organizational skills, you are proactive and have an independent way of working

You have very good PC user skills in basic program such as the Office 365 package and the ability to familiarize quickly with new software and tech instruments

You have a fluent command of written and spoken English (German would be an asset)

Willingness to travel to visit field trials

Driving license (B/BE) is considered an asset
