KWS Italia S.p.A. is looking for a Supply Chain Manager based in Forlì. The position is unlimited and full time.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Responsible for the whole Supply Chain management for KWS region SE and MEA,  for CORN, Sorghum, Sunflower, WÖSR and Cereals, in particular;

  • Supervise overall purchases carried out by the Purchase Manager, being personally responsible for deliveries to all customers of countries served by KWS Italia
  • Provide all relevant statistics about Sales and overall Logistic and Sales Admin. operations (including ITA, manage all IT tools that may support/improve operations in the Region
  • Management of teams such as supervising the Purchase Manage, recruit and train, provide necessary guidelines, communicate all necessary forecasts. Take care of efficient communication & coordination with PM for high quality service level
  • Create and process all sales (delivery) orders for all served countries, register them in SAP for each country, and execute proper transportation processes, identify seed best locations (in coordination with PM) and create the delivery order in SAP. Prepare shipment and cross-border documentation for each country (incl. all exhaustive doc. often required outside EU)
  • Take care of proper communication/information of customers about delivery issues, invoice each order and check money collection for all pre-paid orders, manage potential issues and complaints realted to transportation, schedules, qualities, etc.
  • For the whole Region, manage all IT tools, such as SAP modules ( MM, WM, SD +BMS), plus all existing software for Logistic & Sales Admin. Propose and implement development of new specific IT tools (portals, optical scanning, etc.)
  • Explore & identify all possible IT connections with customers, especially in Italy, to automate data transfers, search for solutions, and support development & implementation once accepted. This tasks may incorporate “on site” (at dealers) visits, with Sales Managers.
  • Create a set of regular sales & sales admin. statistics, and meet ad-hoc demands
  • Identify Sales managers' (ITA, ESP, Others & possibly Turkey ) needs for sales statistics and develop tools to meet their demands with regular and automated reports
  • Prepare the Annual Sales Campaign Reports, identify key performance indicators for sales admin.& logistics (whole Region), implement a follow-up system & utilize those KPIs as basis for proposals of improvement (efficiency, cost reduction, etc)
  • Prepare stock estimations by the end of each financial year
  • Royalties (to pay/to receive) & tech-fees: Issue the sales statistics and prepare invoices for licences (SIS) or supplier (KWS Mais GmbH, KWS Lochow, Monsanto, etc), control %age to be applied
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers for local and international transportation
  • Ensure proper collection and registration of complaints from customers (KWS entities, Sales Team ITA, Distributors, etc)
  • Provide regular reports to Suppliers & KWS Mais Gmb
  • Look for possible improvements, all along the production & process channels and inform suppliers about necessary changes
  • Geographical scope will be SE, Middle-East and Africa (MEA), SE, MEA, Turkey, France, Romania, Serbia, extendable depending on business requirements


Essential Skills and Key Competencies Required:


  • Min 5 years of experience in supply chain operations (purchasing, logistic, warehousing, sales admin., custom, etc) in international environments
  • Residing in Forlì, Italy or will be able to relocate
  • Proven experience with SAP Purchasing module and international shipment
  • Very good SAP Knowledge of Logistic & Sales Admin modules
  • Knowledge of agricultural sector, specifically seed business, would be an asset
  • Fluent English and Italian (spoken and written), and strong familiarity with logistics terminology, other languages such as German and French would be an asset
  • No restrictions with local and international travel•Valid driver's license
  • Analytical mindset, efficient organizational skills, problem solving, planning, delivering results, and communication
