For our KWS Momont Research site based in Mons-en-Pevele, we are recruiting a Research Station Manager (m/f).

 

Attached to the group's R&D department, your mission will be to ensure the human, technical and administrative management of the Mons-en-Pevele research station (59) to guarantee the realization of varietal creation programs for species field crops (cereals and oilseeds). You will manage the resort's activities and work in conjunction with the Group's breeders. Your teams are made up of permanent and seasonal workers.

 

With the aim of guaranteeing the best efficiency and quality of the services necessary for the Breeders of the KWS Group's research programs, you are responsible for:

  • You ensure the strategic management of the Mons-en-Pevele resort, by managing the various teams of the resort (20 permanent + seasonal employees), in conjunction with the intermediate managers,

  • You coordinate the various activities of the station: experiments in the fields, production of seeds for trials, activities in greenhouses and laboratories. You are responsible for continuous improvement and change management to optimize processes and activities.

  • You ensure the administrative management of the station, develop, optimize and monitor the execution of operating and investment budgets,

  • You participate in the resort's development plan by carrying out medium and long-term investment projects in buildings, greenhouses and laboratories.

  • You participate in various projects (scientific and infrastructure), with the other station managers of the Group internationally, with the aim of setting up synergies,

  • You are responsible for compliance with the security policy applicable to the company.

 

Required profile:

  • Bac+5 level (agricultural engineer or university education), related to the agricultural field,

  • Successful professional experience of at least 5 years, including managing a team and managing a budget.

  • Your managerial experience in change management and project management will allow you to support the reorganization and development of the resort.

  • You are force of proposal, open to new technologies and you have a relational sense developed to facilitate collaboration.

  • Fluency in French and a fluent level of English, both spoken and written, are essential for this position. You know how to work in an international context, with various interlocutors.

  • Travel in France is to be expected, and internationally on an ad hoc basis.
