KWS BENELUX BV is looking to recruit, at the earliest opportunity a Technical Assistant - Breeding Station Potato. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Nagele.

The KWS polder station in Nagele (Flevoland) consists of approximately 100 ha of arable farming with research and breeding activities for various crops within the cultivation plan. The technical team consists of 30 employees responsible for a wide range of activities year-round.

Your tasks:

• Support and perform processing and analysis of potato samples
• Performing seeding, planting, seed, judging, and harvesting activities in the field and greenhouse
• Execution of the crossing program and accurate following of instructions
• Carrying out selection activities
• Registering and reporting deviations
• Recording of observations, counts, and findings
• Making suggestions for the improvement of work processes

Your profile:

• You have an MBO education and a good knowledge of arable farming.
• Agricultural machinery experience would be beneficial but not essential
• You can work accurately, are flexible, and be prepared (with colleagues) to be broadly deployable.
• In addition to working with machines, there is also manual work, you must be able to work accurately and maintain a calm and orderly disposition.
• You can speak and write fluent Dutch, due to the international character of the company, it is helpful to have some command of English.
