KGaA is looking for a dedicated specialist (m/f/d) for digitalization and smart farming in plant breeding, who will support our experimental operations at the Seligenstadt location near Würzburg with digital tools and ideas.  

 

You will work in a motivated team and actively shape the implementation of tasks through your own ideas and suggestions. We are looking for a creative and innovative mind and offer you a permanent full-time position. 

 

Your tasks with us: 

  • Together with our experienced team, you will implement digital applications to increase the efficiency and quality at our breeding station for all crops from planning through sowing and harvesting to evaluation. 
  • You will coordinate drone activities for the scoring of various crops and then independently evaluate them with the latest technology. 
  • You will support colleagues in the field and in the office in working with digital tools and processes. 
  • You will bring your ideas and creativity to further develop and optimize our processes and technologies. 
  • You will be in close exchange with our colleagues from IT, phenotyping, and software development to optimize and further develop experimental operations. 
  • We are looking for a creative person who designs and optimizes processes with the help of modern technology. 

 

What you bring: 

  • We are open to applicants with various degrees (vocational training, bachelor's, master's, engineer, master craftsman, technician). 
  • You have experience in IT, data management, and processing. 
  • Enjoyment of an IT-heavy activity and work environment.  
  • IT expertise: experience with GIS software, software for drone evaluation, guidance systems, and Office 365. 
  • A strong affinity for agriculture is desired; experience in plant production would be advantageous but not mandatory. 
  • You are excited about new tasks and enthusiastic about bringing your own ideas and creativity to them. 
  • You enjoy further training to apply and improve the latest technologies in agriculture and plant breeding. 
  • Team and communication skills, flexibility, and high commitment are a matter of course for you. 
  • Good German and English skills are desirable.
