Join our rapidly growing company specializing in the breeding of new varieties of cereals and the production of high quality seed for various plant cultures such as hybrid rye, wheat, barley and oats. For an initial anticipated period of 33 months, we are looking for a person to join the plant breeding department for the position of: Plant Breeding Assistant (m/f/d) to join our Kondratowice/Poland location on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and testing of cereal seed samples in accordance with breeding plans
• Performing work related to crossbreeding programs, production of rye inbred lines and research projects, both in the greenhouse and in the breeding field
• Performing field observations as assigned
• Maintaining breeding records in Polish and English
• Organizing the work of harvesting, processing and preparing breeding materials for subsequent breeding stages
   

Requirements:

• Higher agricultural education, preferred majors: Plant breeding and seed science, general agriculture or related fields
• Several years of experience in plant breeding will be an advantage
• Commitment, availability and ability to work in a team
• Accuracy and reliability, high ability to organize work and cooperate in a group
• Ability to use MS Office package
• Fluency in Polish and communicative knowledge of English
• Cat B driving license welcome
