SBR "Syndrome Basses Richesses" and RTD "Rubbery Taproot Disease" are serious sugar beet diseases and pose major challenges for the entire sugar industry. KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for a SBR & RTD Project Manager (m/f/d) AgroService Sugarbeet in the Southern Germany region at the Seligenstadt site (Franconia, Germany). As a Project Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the technical, strategic and creative direction in the sugarbeet sector, taking into account current and future developments in the market, with a focus on the SBR and RTD sectors. This exciting position is permanent, full-time and to be filled as soon as possible. Due to the high level of mobility, a company car is provided for this position.

 

This is your responsibility with the role:

  • Field trials: setting up and supervising field trials including data collection
  • Communication: Contact person for breeding, phytopathology and sales
  • Coordination: Supervision and coordination of trial activities 
  • Monitoring: Observation of disease development and regional spread
  • Plant cultivation innovations: Support in the development of novel, agronomic control measures
  • Exchange & contact management with: Experimenters, growers' associations, sugar industry and other stakeholders in the subject area

 

Contribute your strengths:

  • Completed degree in agricultural sciences (preferably plant cultivation) or a comparable course of study
  • Initial work experience and agricultural internships are an advantage
  • Local knowledge of sugarbeet and interest in field trials is desirable
  • Good presentation and communication skills with a confident manner and organizational skills
  • Working style: Independent working style, high level of motivation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Secure PC user knowledge in Microsoft applications
  • Driving license class B and willingness to travel frequently nationally and internationally (up to 50%)
  • Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills
