About the opportunity
Station Manager
The station manager is responsible for the management of functional and operational activities that takes place at the site and general coordination of planning and implementation of yield trial test locations.
About the Responsibilities
Management of and responsibility for breeding activity network in Sorriso Station, including nursery, yield trials and observation trials;
Own site operational budget: Plan, execute and deliver work slate to defined R&D standards, within allocated budget;
Anticipate workload demands in order to budget for and recruit temporary workers, and other contingent labor resource;
Understand and implement KWS stewardship and compliance policies;
Propose capital investments and oversee timely and safe execution of capital projects;
Implementation and observation of EHS (environment, health, safety) regulation;
Participation in and support of in- and external networks, meetings, projects; communication interface towards stakeholders.
About the Skills
Education
Degree in agriculture, agricultural engineering or comparable education/experience.
Work Experience
Several years of work experience in the related activities;
High communication skills, proactive mindset, constant contributions, motivation to push projects forward;
Accuracy, cost efficiency, technical and entrepreneurial foresight, seach for most advantageous offers;
Management/leadership skills; ability to work in- and external networks;
Good communication skills, cooperative management style, ability to work independently as well as in an international team;
Taking responsibility, target orientation, quality and efficiency awareness;
Fluent Portuguese (verbal/written), good command of English (verbal, written);
