KWS Berlin GmbH is looking for a SAP S/4HANA Master Data Migration Expert (m/f/d).
For our Master Data Management team, we are looking for a proactive, results-driven, and detail-oriented Key User with strong S/4HANA Migration expertise to support our global transformation journey. In this role, you will be a part of the GBO (Global Business Operations) and a key contributor to large-scale SAP S/4HANA migration initiatives, focusing on data transformation, migration design and optimization, and the successful deployment of global master data standards. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, external implementation partners, and global process owners to ensure high-quality master data and a seamless transition to SAP S/4HANA.
This is a is full-time (38h/week), hybrid (40% home-office), limited to 2 years with possibility for extension, and based in Berlin.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a key expert for SAP S/4HANA data migration projects, with particular focus on Material Master and Production Master (I.e., BOMs, Work Centers, Routings and Production Versions).
- Lead and support data transformation activities, including data mapping, cleansing, harmonization, validation, enrichment, and migration readiness assessments.
- Design, enhance, maintain, optimize and automatize migration templates and data load frameworks to support global deployment activities.
- Drive end-to-end migration processes using tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, ETL solutions, and other data integration technologies.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define global master data standards and migration requirements.
- Analyze legacy system structures and develop transformation rules to ensure data quality and business continuity in SAP S/4HANA.
- Coordinate data migration testing activities, including mock loads, validation, defect management, and cutover preparation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for master data design and governance, ensuring alignment between global templates and local business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with business units, process owners, and implementation partners to define and improve future-state master data processes with a focus on technical details.
- Complete project activities related to master data migration, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, quality, and timelines.
- Provide technical expertise and second-level support for master data processes, migration tools, and integration solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification, and continuous improvement across the Master Data Management landscape.
- Support global rollouts and template deployments across multiple regions and business units.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field;
- Solid experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration an transformation programs;
- Strong expertise in Material and/or Production Master Data Management (SAP PP processes and related production master data objects and MRP-relevant settings);
- Hands-on experience with: SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, ETL tools and methodologies, data migration frameworks;
- Experience designing and enhancing migration templates, data mapping specifications, and load files;
- Desirable advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, as well as programming and data analysis using SQL, Python, or Java;
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant language;
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset;
- Fluent English; additional language skills are an advantage.
