Step into a truly central role within our organization as our new Business Partner (m/f/d) Finance & Controlling Germany - Commercial — a position designed to make real impact. As co-pilot to the Germany Commercial Team you will transform financial and controlling data into clear, actionable business insights that drive sustainable performance and strategic growth.

 

This is more than a finance role — it’s an opportunity to define and shape your own scope of responsibility. You will have the possibility o establish and optimize processes, build effective communication structures, and further develop the finance and controlling landscape in alignment with corporate objectives. Your expertise will directly influence decision-making and business success.

 

As the primary point of contact for all financial and controlling matters, you will collaborate closely with functional experts and shared service teams, ensuring high-quality support across the organization while playing an active partner role for the Germany Commercial Team.

 

This is a permanent role and available full-time.

 

Your place of work is either at our HQ in Einbeck or at our Berlin-based office.

 

 

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

 

Strategic Partnership & Decision Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor and co-pilot to the local business leadership
  • Deliver insightful analysis to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Identify and address business needs with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset

 

Governance & Compliance

  • Implement and uphold corporate policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local legal, tax, and regulatory requirements

 

Operational and Financial Management

  • Prepare monthly liquidity forecasts and assess funding requirements
  • Oversee quarterly and year-end closing activities in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting
  • Support internal and external audits as well as tax-related inquiries

 

Performance Planning & Analysis

  • Lead local budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Provide performance insights and track key indicators
  • Support business case development and capital expenditure planning

 

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • University degree in economics/business administration or comparable
  • In-depths knowledge in finance and controlling
  • Proven track record in finance - controlling in a globally acting industry (agribusiness preferred) and international, corporate environment)
  • IT literate in Microsoft, SAP and others
  • Proven experience in change management
  • Analytical problem-solver with can-do attitude
  • Excellent level of customer orientation paired with great communication skills with wide ranges of target audiences
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders
  • Keen to work operational and strategically
  • Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
