KWS Momont, a subsidiary of the KWS Group, is hiring a Head of Production and Logistics (M/F), for a full-time permanent position based in Mons-en-Pévèle.

Reporting to the Head of Global Production and Logistics and working closely with the General Manager of the Station, your mission will be to develop the seed production strategy for KWS MOMONT, meeting the commercial forecasts of both internal and external customers, while optimizing production costs, processes, and ensuring quality standards.

Pragmatic and attentive to your teams, consisting of 30 permanent staff and 50 seasonal workers, you will manage and oversee the heads of production, quality, maintenance, and logistics departments. You will ensure coordination with other departments and the group, overseeing the global management of operations.

The goal is to meet the requirements of our customers in France and internationally in terms of quality, quantity, and reliability of supply.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will ensure the strategic management and leadership of Seed Production Operations.

  • You will manage the teams responsible for planning, production (fields and factory), maintenance, quality, and logistics, while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

  • You will be the key driver of continuous improvement and change management to optimize processes and activities. You will create a flexible work environment to adapt to the needs of customers and the business.

  • You will be responsible for monitoring outsourced production, as well as the procurement of plant protection products and packaging.

  • You will participate in various industry-related meetings, representing KWS with official bodies.

 

Profile:

  • You hold a higher education degree in agriculture or industrial production (Master’s, Engineering School) and have significant experience in production, team management, and supply chain management within the agricultural or agri-food sector.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and French is essential for this role. You are accustomed to working in an international context and within a matrix organization.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP) is required.

  • Occasional travel in France and internationally will be required.
