For KWS Seeds, LLC we are looking for a Office Administration Assistant for our Moorhead station where the primary responsibility is to actively assist and independently organize the general and daily office and station activities. The position holder is responsible for all local administrative aspects of the breeding station. This includes the coordinating of temporary staff members, ordering of supplies, invoice processing and office management. This position is a part-time position.
Essential job Functions:
- Perform all general administrative functions for the breeding station.
- Joint responsibility with the local management for hiring of seasonal staff and manage all related administrative duties
- Invoice management
- Mail and dispatch management
- Act as direct link between the breeding station and the Globe Expert Hub in North America.
- Responsible for ordering of supplies and materials needed for the office, station, or breeding programs.
- Organization of all office activities. (e.g. visitors or events)
- Establish an effective and efficient facility use system.
- Assist the station staff in non-administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure purchasing is kept within budget and authority levels are not exceeded.
- Serve as primary facility contact and arrange for general office and station repairs.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires in partnership with HR.
- Ensure the Company Handbook, Group Standards, and Safety Policies are followed.
- May travel and/or drive on behalf of the business up to 10%.
- Meet attendance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in administrative functions.
- Basic computer skills are needed to operate with company software, enter data and create files, as well as necessary lists (Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to extend computer knowledge and learn new database and related computer systems.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical, logical, and innovative thinking ability to plan present and future needs.
- Team player committed to cross-functional team projects and success; responsiveness and accountability are strongly desired.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify alternative solutions and approaches.
- Outstanding verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills is essential.
- Valid Drivers’ License.
