Are you passionate about agriculture and seed production? 

KWS Magyarország Kft. is looking for a Seed Production Agronomist to coordinate and manage end-to-end seed production and supply activities in Hungary, with a focus on oilseed rape and sorghum, as well as corn and sunflower. In this role, you will work closely with seed-producing farmers, contractual partners and international stakeholders . 
Based in Hungary, with regular travel across multiple production regions, particularly Eastern Hungary, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality seed production, processing, and delivery in line with KWS standards and customer demand. This exciting and responsible position is full-time, permanent, and available as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities: 

Field Supervision & Production Development

• Monitor seed production throughout the growing season, from planting to harvest, ensuring compliance with KWS standards and agronomic requirements
• Conduct field inspections, estimate yields and report harvest results in line with internal guidelines
• Support production research and drive the implementation of innovative agronomic practices and technologies.

Seed Processing & Procurement

• Plan, coordinate and supervise seed processing activities, including drying, sizing, calibration, seed treatment and packaging
• Support procurement activities, including supplier negotiations, order placement, delivery coordination and order follow-up
• Coordinate the delivery of basic certified seed and seed for experimental and certification purposes

Certification, Logistics & Administration

• Coordinate export certification in accordance with OECD requirements and organize official field inspections
• Liaise with relevant authorities on seed certification, quality assurance and submission of required documentation
• Manage related administrative activities in SAP

Your Profile:

• BSc or MSc in Agronomy
• Experience in seed production, seed processing or supply chain management is an advantage;
• Recent graduates with strong motivation to develop in seed production are also welcome
• Knowledge of seed production processes, processing and safety regulations is preferred
• Up-to-date agronomic knowledge; experience with sorghum seed production is a plus.
• Fluent Hungarian and good English skills.
• Independent, solution-oriented and flexible working style, with strong communication and networking skills.
• Customer-oriented and innovative mindset
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge and experience with precision agriculture tools are advantageous
