KWS Vegetables is seeking an exceptional Global Sales Manager for Fruity Crops, including Tomato, Cucumber, Pepper, Melon, and Watermelon. This role is designed to drive our sales and market strategy, aligning with the company's overall objectives to ensure sustained growth and profitability in the global vegetables sector. The ideal candidate will possess strategic insight, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of the agricultural industry, particularly in the vegetable seeds sector. This position is based in Andijk.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the strategic development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies for Fruity crops (Tomato, Cucumber, Pepper, Melon, and Watermelon), ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy. 

  • Collaboratively set sales targets, profitability goals, and market share objectives with the Sales Team and Product Management, and drive initiatives to meet these goals. 

  • Spearhead the growth of global vegetables fruity sales, with accountability for the Business Unit's Profit and Loss (P&L).

  • Direct and mentor the global commercial Sales teams, with Country Sales organizations reporting directly to this role. 

  • Design and enforce sales rules, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance and forecast accuracy. 

  • Foster and develop interfaces between the headquarters and subsidiaries and within the Business Unit to streamline operations. 

  • Focus on building robust Sales teams in subsidiaries and targeted markets, while developing future leaders for the sales organization. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: 

  • Possession of a relevant degree, with a preference for candidates having five to ten years or more of experience in the international seed industry, ideally within the vegetable seeds segment. 

  • Deep understanding of the business, including its processes, drivers, and interdependencies. 

  • Demonstrated success in managing sales operations and achieving both quantitative and qualitative targets. 

  • Leadership ability to cultivate a high-performing team based on trust, collaboration, and diversity. 

  • Global perspective and the ability to cooperate effectively within a matrix organization. 

  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with additional languages considered an advantage.
