KWS UK Ltd. is looking to add a Field Production Manager to our team. Keen to organize the field production of our seeds, oversee and grow our network of growers, and liaise closely with our commercial team?
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with KWS UK seed growers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials that align with the company’s commercial objectives.

  • Acquire and provide autonomous guidance and consultation to seed growers and processing partners, focusing on continuous improvements in yield and quality.

  • Conduct audits of multiplication growers to ensure quality standards and added value.

  • Drive continuous development of seed multiplication practices to enhance efficiency and output.

  • Prepare for, coordinate, and perform field inspections and certifications.

  • Collaborate closely with breeding departments, commercial department, and relevant seed authorities.

  • Participate in both internal and external projects to drive innovation and efficiency.

  • Oversee and manage the off-type roguing team, ensuring consistent quality control and the highest standards of seed crop integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Completed agricultural studies with a focus on plant production or comparable education.

  • Several years of practical farming experience.

  • Driven and organized personality with a quality first mindset.

  • Technical understanding or experience in seed processing and seed certification preferred.

  • Understanding of field production.

  • Basic understanding of field production software and proficiency in PC and MS-Office Applications.

  • Driver’s license required; Crop Inspectors License preferable.

  • Ability to travel within UK up to 50% of the time with a peak in June and July.
