KWS Seeds INC is seeking a Business Partner for Production Controlling to support our local production site with accurate financial insights and operational transparency. In this role, you will drive cost performance, support strategic decisions, and collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and global controlling teams.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Business Partnering & Financial Advisory  

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor and strategic thought partner to production and maintenance teams.  

• Support the Team Lead Business Partners Finance & Controlling in key steering and decision-making activities.  

Cost Controlling & Analysis  

• Analyze production costs and maintain standard costing.  

• Perform variance analyses (plan vs. actual vs. standard) and identify efficiency and cost saving opportunities.  

• Monitor material usage, scrap, and production of waste.  

Planning & Forecasting  

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, including COGM and detailed production planning.  

• Support operational forecasting and cost model development.  

Closing & Reporting  

• Maintain the Material Ledger and manage costing activities.  

• Prepare WIP bookings and calculate crop-level COGS for quarterly closings.  

• Support KPI reporting and plant performance dashboards.  

Inventory Management  

• Ensure accurate inventory reporting and support inventory management processes.  

• Assist with devaluation calculations, write-offs, and scrap valuations.  

Collaboration & Governance  

• Work with global production controlling teams to ensure alignment and standardized processes.  

• Contribute productivity initiatives, savings programs, CapEx reviews, and make or buy assessments.  

Systems & Process Support  

• Support standard cost reviews and cost roll-ups.  

• Ensure adherence to controlling standards and drive continuous process improvement.  

Job Requirements  

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, agribusiness, or related field.  

• Several years of experience in production or plant controlling, ideally in an international environment.  

• Proficiency in SAP (CO, ML, COPA) and Excel; BI tool experience is beneficial.  

• Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.  

• Strong analytical skills and a hands on approach to operational finance.  

• Effective communicator with the ability to work across functions and cultures.  

• Self motivated, structured, and capable of driving results.  

• Collaborative and committed team player.  

Our Offer 

• A salary between $100,000 to $115,000. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made
