Position Purpose
The main objective of this role is to support the Project Manager in all activities related to KWS Double Haploid (DH) and Nursery programs at our Gran Canaria research station, ensuring the effective technical, organizational, and people-oriented execution of activities.

Your Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist the area lead in Nursery and DH activities, including seed preparation, labeling, seed and seedling selection, planting, counting, pollination, harvesting, and seed processing.
- Staff Supervision: Coordinate, supervise, and train temporary staff, ensuring motivation, performance, and the correct execution of activities.
- Quality Control: Carry out and report field work, verifying that tasks are performed in accordance with established instructions and protocols.
- Data Management: Keep material inventories, Excel spreadsheets, and internal databases up to date.
- Health & Safety: Actively participate in the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies at the station.
- Communication: Promote clear, respectful, and effective communication with team members and involved departments.
Your Profile
- Recommended education: Qualification as an Agricultural Technician or equivalent training.
- Leadership: Proven prior experience in managing and supervising staff is essential.
- Experience: Previous experience in agriculture is an advantage.
- Technical skills: User-level proficiency in office tools; knowledge of English is desirable.
